Biography

Lisa Buckley is currently the Simulation Manager for Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) -New York Clinical Sites. She has a B.S. in Health Education, a M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Health Professions Education. She is a graduate of the Center for Medical Simulation’s Instructor Training Course and Advanced Instructor Training Course. Lisa has been working in healthcare simulation education since 2011. She began working in simulation at RUSM’s Simulation Institute, which is located on the medical school campus and is utilized primarily by medical students in their pre-clinical years. The simulation program is integrated into the medical school curriculum and includes manikin based simulation, virtual simulation and standardized patients. The RUSM Simulation Institute is a Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) accredited site in Core Standards, Teaching and Education since 2013. In 2015, Lisa transferred to a hospital based simulation program and serves as the manager for their developing program focused on curriculum for clinical clerkship students. In this role, she develops simulation curriculum and facilitates and debriefs simulations for medical students, medical residents and nursing students.
