Daniel Greenberg is the president of Media Rez, a Washington DC-based technology company producing innovative video games, virtual reality environments, and social media products for health, behavior change, and fun. His health projects include interventions for treatment adherence, relapse prevention, healthy lifestyles, and pain control– in collaboration with researchers from George Washington University, the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, and Children’s National Medical Center. His entertainment games have won hundreds of awards and sold millions of copies for a wide range of publishers including Apple, Electronic Arts, Activision/Blizzard, Ubisoft, Bethesda/Zenimax, Time Warner, Disney and many more. He has had a prominent role in the creation of games for world-class brands like The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, X-Men, Ghost Recon, Crysis, the Elder Scrolls, and Cartoon Network. His technology articles have appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today, the Atlantic, and many other publications. He lectures on harnessing the engaging power of games at many conferences, including the Centers for Disease Control, SFN Neuroscience, the Game Developers Conference, mHealth, the American Society of International Law, the International Red Cross, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, NATO, and the White House.
